I’ve made plenty of mistakes with my blogging. The biggest mistake I made was not treating it as a business from the start. My blogs were sloppy, unfocused, had ridiculous domain names, no goals in mind, and unsurprisingly made no money at all.
A year ago I went through Daniel Scocco’s Online Profits training program. Most of you will already know Daniel from his Daily Blog Tips blog. I always knew he was a great blogger, but I didn’t know how smart a business person he was until Online Profits.
Daniel took a class of 200 students and stripped us right back to the fundamentals of running successful online businesses. We learned about planning, domain name selection, different types of sites and monetization strategies, SEO, driving traffic with social media, and a whole lot more.
The training materials were delivered in a series of text, video, and audio lessons topped off with a discussion forum full of people eager to discuss new ideas and help each other develop their businesses.
The quality of the training is top notch, which is no surprise when you see the list of experts who contributed to each topic, such as Neil Patel, Yaro Starak, Chris Garrett, and Zac Johnson.
I came out of Online Profits with some solid ideas that Daniel took the time to help me polish. After a bit of time off last year when my daughter was born I revamped my online business, relaunched my two main sites with a much high level of focus, and have been going from strength to strength every since. My online business now delivers a much stronger, more reliable income than before. My testimonial is proudly displayed on the website along with many other happy students.
