A lot of bloggers would like to be able to earn some extra money by getting paid to write blog posts. But how do you go about finding blogging jobs? Here are three ways you can discover opportunities to get paid to write for blogs.
Where To Look For Advertised Blogging Jobs
Here is a list of web sites that you can use to search for blogging jobs. I’ve personally used the Problogger Job Board to find some very good blogging jobs.
- Problogger Job Board – http://jobs.problogger.net/
- Authority Blogger Forum – http://forum.authorityblogger.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14
- Elance – http://www.elance.com/p/landing/provider.html
- Freelance Switch – http://jobs.freelanceswitch.com/categories/3
- Online Writing Jobs – http://www.online-writing-jobs.com/jobs/freelance-blogging-jobs.php
Directly Applying for Blogging Jobs
Aside from advertised blogging jobs you can also find paid work by directly applying to blogs that pay for submissions.
Take a close look at the blogs within your topic areas and look for those that will accept and pay for blog posts.
You can also use Google searches to find blogging jobs with thousands of popular websites that accept blogging applications.
Using Guest Posts to Get Blogging Jobs
Guest posts are a good way to find blogs that are willing to pay you to write regular articles for them.
By submitting a few quality guest posts and proving you can write well and attract visitors you can then often negotiate a paid position for that blog. Many blog owners are quite happy to let other people generate high quality content for them which can lead to increased visitor traffic and higher revenues.
When you are guest posting don’t just target blogs within your niche. Take a look at related blogs where the readers will appreciate your expertise. For example, if you write a finance blog look for opportunities to write guest posts with specific finance tips for different niches such as work at home moms, fitness professionals, freelance artists, and so on.

Good tips for finding blog job.Besites these sites,craigslist.org is also a good place to find writing job.
Loving the ‘guest posting’ point, Paul! :) I’ve always insisted that guest posting is a really effective way of getting quality exposure, and you can sell just about anything (whether it be selling people to your blog, selling a service such as writing, or, well, you get the picture)! :)
This is a good list. I never thought about paid guest blogging – thought that it was always unpaid so that you can expand your brand and/or get new readers back to your site.
If you had to choose only one of the above, which one would you recommend?
