Blogging for some sort of income is definitely not something quick or we’d all be getting “rich” fast.

I really like Darren’s advice on going out to other blogs and helping others and as soon as they start to see what you’re offering they might just check out your blog. If your blog provides useful help for them they’ll become loyal readers, again, hopefully.

This is what I believe is the basics and the end all to it. If you can solve a problem in a fast and easy way that a ton of people are looking to do and you do it in such a way that brings them in, just tweak yourself a bit and keep going.

What a great interview. I have had a website for a while, but as a relative newcomer to developing a and building a blog, there are some things that really spoke to me in this interview. That gives me hope that I can create a blog, and most importantly, to blog well.

Darren was my inspiration for starting my blog last year. I’d been reading Problogger for a while before that and his words just made me want to start doing it, instead of just reading about it. It’s pretty cool that you were able to get an inteview with him. Good job!

Nothing new under the sun!

The thing is that you have to be one of the first ones when doing something and be persistent…

if the case is you are in a niche that is overcrowded or saturated you will have to think of a way to stand out from the rest…what a better way to do that then offering people more than they have expected, by helping them and making their lives way easier…

it is as simple as that!

Thanks for sharing this interview. I especially love what Darren says about consolidating what he is doing. I think that is something we all need to be doing.
